Verydarkman condemns arrest of Eedie Bliss
Popular social media activist, Verydarkman, has criticised actress Mercy Johnson following the arrest of TikTok content creator Eedie Bliss over alleged defamation involving the actress’ husband, Prince Henry Okojie.
The arrest has triggered online debate, with questions raised about the use of police action in what many view as a civil dispute.
Arrest follows viral allegation
Eedie Bliss was arrested and detained in Abuja after a petition reportedly filed by Prince Henry Okojie, following a video she posted on TikTok.
In the video, Eedie Bliss repeated claims earlier made by social media influencer Cutie Juls, alleging that Mercy Johnson’s husband bought a mansion for another woman who became pregnant outside his marriage.
She further claimed that Mercy Johnson allegedly colluded with the woman’s house help to cause a miscarriage.
Controversy dates back to December 2025
The rumours first surfaced online in December 2025 and quickly spread across social media platforms, drawing attention to the actress and her family.
The claims remain unverified, but their circulation has continued to fuel public interest and debate.
Verydarkman accuses actress of double standards
Reacting to the arrest, Verydarkman described Eedie Bliss’ detention as unfair and biased.
He referenced a past incident involving Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy, who was arrested for defamation by Senator Ned Nwoko. According to Verydarkman, Mercy Johnson had at the time condemned the arrest as unlawful.
Calls for court action instead of police involvement
Verydarkman urged Mercy Johnson and her husband to pursue the matter in court rather than involving the police.
He noted that Eedie Bliss cited her source in the video and argued that her detention, especially with her wedding scheduled for the coming Saturday, was unnecessary and heavy-handed.
“If you and your husband feels defamed by that girl’s post, please sue her to court. And stop using the police to oppress people,” he said in a post addressing the actress.
