The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced plans to deport 79 convicted Nigerians listed on its so-called “worst-of-the-worst” criminal register.
According to DHS, those affected have been convicted of serious crimes and are scheduled for removal under ongoing immigration enforcement efforts. The agency did not immediately disclose the timeline for deportations or the specific offences committed by each individual.
The list includes names such as Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ejike Asiegbunam, Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, Bamidele Bolatiwa, Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, Aderemi Akefe, Solomon Wilfred, Chibundu Anuebunwa, Joshua Ineh, Usman Momoh, and others, representing a total of 79 individuals deemed among the most serious offenders under US immigration law.
Authorities said the deportations are part of ongoing efforts to remove foreign nationals with significant criminal records, underscoring the US government’s prioritisation of public safety and enforcement of immigration laws.
