Rising Nigerian entertainment promoter in the UK, Adenike Adeniji, popularly known as Anik Entertainment, has shared her thoughts on the industry, stating that genuine love and support are hard to find.
In a recent conversation, Adeniji opened up about the difficulties she faced when starting as a promoter. “Promotion is a tough job that requires strength, resilience, and hard work. Breaking into the industry is challenging, especially when you’re new. It’s difficult to get support from other promoters because the industry isn’t always welcoming to newcomers. Genuine love and backing for your brand are rare, particularly when you’re just starting out,” she explained.
Reflecting on her journey into entertainment, Adeniji shared her passion for the industry, despite its challenges. “I have always loved entertainment and good music. My journey began with acting I featured in two home videos in 2005. However, my parents were not supportive, which led me to quit. Now, I focus on event promotions, bringing artists to the UK for shows. Acting is still a passion of mine, and I plan to venture into movie production. I’m currently working on some film projects,” she revealed.
Discussing the future of her brand, Anik Entertainment, she emphasized her cautious approach to growth. “I am taking things step by step in this industry—whether it’s promoting, acting, or producing movies. The entertainment space is filled with a lot of insincerity. Many people don’t offer real love; it’s often fake. But I’m someone who values authenticity. I love genuinely, and I prefer to be transparent with people. In the future, I see myself focusing more on movie production,” Adeniji concluded.
