Popular Ugandan preacher and media personality Jonathan Nalebo has officially announced his separation from his wife, Enid Mirembe, bringing an end to their marriage of over seven years.
The couple, once regarded as one of Uganda’s inspirational young power pairs, share two daughters. Nalebo made the announcement via social media, in a deeply emotional message that quickly went viral and sparked widespread reactions across East African media and beyond.
‘She Was Too Perfect For Me’ – Nalebo Opens Up
In his post, Nalebo praised Enid as a “perfect woman,” and admitted that he struggled to match her strength, character, and commitment. He described her as a treasure he “mishandled” and expressed regret over how their relationship had unfolded.
“I let go of my wife and mother of my daughters after 7 years. I have no right words except that I failed to match her perfection. She’s too perfect. I am just not the man she needed me to be,” Nalebo wrote.
He went on to take full responsibility for the split, emphasizing that Enid had not done anything wrong and that she had always been a “true queen.”
Children to Stay With Their Mother
Nalebo also revealed that their two daughters will continue to stay with their mother, whom he described as capable and wise. “She will raise our girls right. I trust her with everything,” he added.
While the separation appears to be amicable, Nalebo noted that the decision was made in pursuit of peace, healing, and emotional well-being for both himself and his estranged wife.
Who is Enid Mirembe?
Enid Mirembe, a well-known figure in Uganda, gained national recognition when she was crowned Miss Tourism Busoga Region in 2015. She later gained attention for launching the Rolex Festival—a food event celebrating Uganda’s popular street food—and has since built a reputation as an entrepreneur and advocate for tourism and youth development.
