2 Shot, 10+ Women Abducted in Wurno LGA Attack
Suspected bandits attacked Tudun Mallam village in Wurno Local Government Area, Sokoto State, late Sunday night, shooting two people and abducting more than 10 women, residents said. The attackers also looted farm equipment, causing panic across the rural community.
According to security analyst Bakatsine, the raid highlights ongoing insecurity in northwest Nigeria, as communities report frequent attacks despite government promises of improved security. The two injured victims are currently receiving treatment at Udutu Primary Health Care Centre (PHC).

Witnesses said the bandits struck late at night, overwhelming residents before fleeing into nearby bush paths. Locals described the situation as a growing threat to rural communities in Sokoto State.
