WASHINGTON, Jan. 21, 2026 — U.S. President Donald Trump issued a direct warning to Iran on Tuesday, stating the country would face complete destruction if it attempted to assassinate him.
In an interview with NewsNation, Trump said he has given “very firm instructions” that any such attack would be met with overwhelming force. “If anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this earth,” he said.
