A suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of N20 million worth of human hair from a moving truck in Lagos. The robbery took place on the CMS-Marina Bridge on April 25, 2025. The suspect, identified as Austine, was apprehended after attempting to flee by jumping off the bridge.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the suspect was found in possession of the stolen hair products and is currently receiving medical treatment under police supervision. Hundeyin revealed that the police acted swiftly upon receiving a tip-off, leading to the successful arrest.
The police are still on the lookout for other members of the criminal gang believed to be involved in the heist. Hundeyin urged Lagos residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to assist in the fight against crime.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, also assured the public that the police are committed to ensuring the safety of road users across the state. He emphasized the importance of community collaboration in keeping the city safe.
