Galadima predicts APC defeat in 2027
Buba Galadima, a former ally of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has said President Bola Tinubu will not win the 2027 presidential election if the polls are free and fair.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain also declared that no candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would win under a credible electoral process.
Farmers will reject APC — Galadima
Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Galadima said farmers across the country had lost confidence in the Tinubu administration due to policies affecting agriculture.
He claimed that rising input costs and low produce prices had removed incentives for farming, making the APC unpopular among farmers.
Rising costs, low returns cited
Galadima said fertiliser now sells for about N70,000 per bag, while farm produce prices remain low.
According to him, a bag of millet sells for N16,000, maize for over N20,000, and beans for N36,000, making farming increasingly unviable.
Warns of reduced food production
He warned that the situation could discourage farmers from returning to their farms in the next planting season, adding that food imports were crashing local prices and worsening the problem.
