Tacha distinguishes miracles from magic after Pere Egbi testimony
Reality star Tacha has weighed in on Pere Egbi’s claim of being healed by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, stressing that miracles require faith and are not instant like magic.
In a social media post, Tacha criticised the perception among some Nigerians that miracles should happen effortlessly, describing it as a “quick-fix mentality.”
“There’s a HUGE difference between miracles and magic! A lot of people expect miracles to be like magic tricks… miracles do exist, but they require faith,” Tacha wrote.
Criticism of fake pastors and church exploitation
Tacha also condemned fake pastors she said exploit believers’ desire for instant solutions, contributing to the proliferation of illegitimate churches. She highlighted that faith is central to how miracles work, and pointed to routine practices like prayer for the sick in hospitals as legitimate examples of miracles.
“Fake pastors and the greed of some of these pastors have messed up the church in Nigeria, but it doesn’t change the fact that miracle ≠ magic, and faith is still a major part of how miracles work,” she added.
The reality star called for better understanding of miracles, urging believers to recognise that they are not automatic or effortless but rely on genuine faith.
