Senegal Confirmed in AFCON 2025 Final
Senegal have booked their place in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a 1-0 victory over Egypt in the first semi-final on Wednesday, January 14.
The Teranga Lions’ decisive goal came in the 75th minute, when Sadio Mane controlled the ball outside the box and struck it into the bottom corner, securing the win in an otherwise tight contest.
Cagey Semi-Final Encounter
The match was largely defensive, with shots on target rare for most of the game. Mane’s strike broke the deadlock, confirming Senegal’s progression to the AFCON 2025 final.
Awaiting Morocco or Nigeria
Senegal will now face the winner of the second semi-final between hosts Morocco and Nigeria, later tonight, as they aim for the AFCON 2025 title.
