Sallah: FG Declares Friday 6th and Monday 9th June Public Holidays
The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6th, and Monday, June 9th, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Sallah (Eid-ul-Adha).

In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, disclosed that Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government.
Minister’s Message to the Muslim Faithful
The Minister congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and abroad on the occasion, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
“He called on the Muslim Ummah to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria during the Sallah celebration,” the statement read.
Support for National Progress Under the Renewed Hope Agenda
Dr. Tunji-Ojo reassured citizens of the government’s dedication to meaningful reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He encouraged all Nigerians to work together with the administration to restore the country’s unity, dignity, and prosperity.
