Popular Nollywood actress and producer Ruth Kadiri has addressed long-standing rumours about keeping her husband, Mr. Ezerika, away from the public eye.
In a revealing interview on the Dear Ife podcast hosted by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri clarified that her marriage is private by choice not by secrecy. According to her, the decision stems from a desire to protect her family life from unnecessary drama and public scrutiny.
“My Husband Is Not a Secret,” Says Ruth Kadiri
Kadiri, a mother of two, debunked speculations that her husband is hidden from the public. She noted that people who know her personally are familiar with her husband and that they both frequently appear together in real life even if not on social media.
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough,” she said.
“I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?”
They Attend Events Together, Just Not for Public Validation
Ruth also mentioned that her husband is actively involved in her life and career. Despite not being publicly profiled online, they attend church services and events together, including ones she organizes.
“We go to church together, we attend events together. My life is not as private as people think,” Kadiri explained.
“In the events I organize, my husband is always there.”
She also emphasized that her husband simply prefers a low-profile lifestyle, and she respects that boundary.
