Regina Daniels’ Best Friend Arrested in Lagos Amid Ongoing Dispute With Senator Ned Nwoko

Police Arrest Regina Daniels’ Best Friend in Lagos

A woman identified as Ann, described as the best friend of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has been arrested in Lagos State by officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Ajah Division.

The arrest reportedly took place on Monday, with police acting on a court order authorising her detention over allegations of conspiracy, assault, and theft.

Video of Arrest Shared by Regina Daniels’ Brother

A video showing Ann being taken into custody surfaced on social media shortly after the incident. The footage was shared by Sammy, Regina Daniels’ elder brother, via Instagram.

In the post, Sammy questioned the basis of the arrest, insisting that Ann had never visited Senator Ned Nwoko’s residence, which he said made the allegations questionable.

“There was no time Ann was ever at Ned’s house. So how is there a court order to detain her for conspiracy, theft, and all?” he wrote, adding, “Nigeria has failed us.”

Arrest Linked to Escalating Family Dispute

The development comes amid a high-profile and ongoing dispute between Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian billionaire and lawmaker.

The situation became public late last year after the actress made allegations of abuse and domestic issues, triggering a series of public exchanges and legal actions involving members of her family and close associates.

Reports indicate that the arrest of Ann follows similar arrests involving Regina Daniels’ relatives and associates in recent months, all reportedly connected to petitions and court-backed police actions.

No Official Police Statement Yet

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force has not issued an official public statement clarifying the specific circumstances surrounding Ann’s arrest or directly linking it to Senator Ned Nwoko.

There has also been no public response from the senator addressing the latest development.

What Is Confirmed — And What Remains Alleged

While multiple media outlets confirm that Ann was arrested based on a court-issued warrant, claims that the action was personally ordered or influenced by Senator Nwoko remain allegations and have not been independently verified by law enforcement or the judiciary.

The case continues to generate widespread public interest as the legal and personal dispute unfolds.
