The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the deployment of the FID-Intelligence Response Team (IRT) tactical team to rescue Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the Afenifere youth leader, who was kidnapped on February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is committed to ensuring Prince Ojajuni’s safe return and is utilizing all necessary resources and expertise to achieve this objective. The Force has urged the public to exercise caution and avoid spreading unverified information on social media, which could jeopardize the operation and endanger the victim’s safety.
In a related development, the NPF has made significant breakthroughs in combating organized crime, including the recovery of illegal firearms, arrest of suspects, and rescue of kidnapping victims. In Taraba State, police operatives recently stormed a criminal hideout, recovering an AK-47 rifle, live ammunition, and arresting 20 male suspects.
The NPF remains committed to dismantling criminal elements and establishing peace and safety across the country.
