Suspected Car Thief Arrested in Port Harcourt
Arrest Made During Routine Patrol
The rivers state police has arrested a suspected car thief, Felix Clark, during a routine patrol along Abacha Road in the GRA area of Port Harcourt.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the Command, the suspect was intercepted while riding a bicycle. Officers from the Anti-Cultism Unit, led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Attah Alih, became suspicious and stopped him for questioning.
Upon searching Clark, the officers discovered seven master keys commonly used in car theft operations.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered from Suspect’s Residence
Following his arrest, the suspect was taken to the station for further interrogation. During questioning, Clark provided information that led officers to a stolen red Hyundai Sonata with registration number EKY 531 GG, recovered from his residence.
Police confirmed the vehicle had previously been reported stolen and is now in their custody.

Superintendent Iringe-Koko noted that Clark has made useful statements to investigators, identifying several gang members operating in Delta, Edo, and Lagos States.
“Investigations are ongoing, and further updates will be shared as developments unfold,” the statement added.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, emphasized the Command’s resolve to ensure the safety of lives and property in the state.
“We encourage members of the public to continue cooperating with the police by providing timely and credible information,” Adepoju urged.
