Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s home defeat
British broadcaster and Arsenal supporter, Piers Morgan, has criticised the club following their 3–2 Premier League defeat to Manchester United on Sunday evening.
The loss at the Emirates Stadium leaves Arsenal four points behind second-placed Manchester City after 23 matches in the Premier League.
Arsenal lose ground in title race
Arsenal were beaten at home after goals from Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha secured all three points for Manchester United.
The result further dents Mikel Arteta’s side’s push in the Premier League table as the season approaches its decisive stage.
“Worst performance of the season” — Morgan
Reacting on social media platform X, Morgan described Arsenal’s display as their poorest showing of the campaign.
“More painful than breaking a hip. Worse performance of the season,” Morgan wrote.
In another post, he added: “Wake up Arsenal… since the Zubimendi disaster we’ve been a shambles.”
Arsenal face Leeds next
Arsenal will now turn their attention to their next Premier League fixture, where they are set to face Leeds United next weekend.
