Family Contacts DSS Over Viral Death Rumours

The family of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has contacted the Department of State Services (DSS) for the arrest of a Tiktoker who falsely claimed he had died.

The development follows viral rumours that the film icon had passed away, which the family and his management quickly debunked.

Speaking on Instagram, Edochie’s eldest son, Leo Edochie, called the claims “a lie from the pit of hell” and confirmed that his father is alive and in good health.

Leo shared that he had contacted the DSS and is offering a reward for anyone with information leading to the Tiktoker’s arrest. He wrote: “This young man posted a video on TikTok that our father is dead. His handle is @ONE_BOR 001. Anyone with information that will lead to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded in cash. DM me with the information; as soon as he is arrested, you will get your reward.”

He also condemned those spreading the rumour, saying: “Our father is alive, hale and hearty. And if you wish someone dead, two things usually happen. The person will live very long and you will die before him. Shame to all of you.”
