Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, has firmly denied reports claiming that he is set to marry former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, describing the allegation as false, baseless and completely impossible.
The rumour, which gained traction on social media, followed the circulation of a purported wedding invitation card suggesting that Pantami and the widow of late former President Muhammadu Buhari were planning to wed.
However, the invitation card contained no wedding date, venue, or verifiable details, raising questions about its authenticity.
Pantami Reacts to Viral Claim
Speaking in an interview with PRNigeria, Pantami said he was shocked by the report, stressing that the late President Buhari was a father figure to him and that Aisha Buhari is regarded as a mother.
“Aisha Buhari is a mother to us. It is disturbing that such a story could be fabricated,” Pantami said.
“President Buhari was like a father to us, and his wife is regarded as a mother. Such a claim is not only false but impossible.”
