INEC in Oyo Receives Sensitive Materials for Ibadan North By-Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has confirmed the receipt of sensitive electoral materials from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) ahead of Saturday’s by-election in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
The materials, which include ballot papers and result sheets, were moved under tight security to INEC’s state office in Ibadan, with representatives of political parties and security agencies present to witness the handover.
According to INEC officials, all necessary logistics and security arrangements have been finalised to ensure a smooth, credible, and transparent election process.
The by-election will determine a new representative for Ibadan North in the House of Representatives following the vacancy in the seat.
