Popular Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has opened up about her readiness for marriage, revealing that kindness is the most important quality she looks for in a life partner.
Isime made the disclosure during a candid conversation with television host Morayo Afolabi-Brown, where she spoke about relationships, maturity, and what now guides her choices as she gets older.
The actress, who is 34 years old, said she believes she is at the right stage of her life to consider marriage seriously, but stressed that she is intentional about what she settles for.
“I am of marriage age. I am 34. Yes, I am a very attractive lady and men can desire me. But I have to choose what I settle with,” she said.
Speaking further, Isime explained that character matters more to her than wealth, status, or material success, adding that genuine kindness is a non-negotiable trait for anyone who wants to be close to her.
“First of all, I like kindness. I find kindness one of the most attractive traits. Before you can be my friend or even relate with me, not to talk of getting married to me, you have to be kind. And I don’t mean performative. I mean genuine kindness,” she said.
The actress noted that she would not rule out a partner based on shortcomings, as long as the person is kind and emotionally grounded.
“Once you are kind, everything else can be worked on,” she added.
Isime’s remarks have since drawn reactions online, with many fans praising her emphasis on values and emotional maturity as she joins other Nigerian celebrities speaking more openly about marriage and personal standards.
