“Nigeria Will Not Bow to Terror” – Tinubu Rallies Troops During Surprise Visit to Katsina Frontline

President Bola Tinubu on Friday made a surprise visit to frontline troops in Katsina State, sending a strong message that Nigeria “will not bow to terror.”

Speaking to soldiers under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Tinubu praised their courage and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to defeating insurgents, terrorists, and bandits threatening peace in the Northwest and beyond.

“There will be no retreat, no surrender,” the President declared. “The battle you’re fighting is not just for land; it’s for the very soul of Nigeria. I am with you — today, tomorrow, always.”

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, the visit was unannounced and conducted without the usual high-ranking military entourage, a deliberate move by the Commander-in-Chief to personally assess troop conditions and boost morale.

Tinubu’s address underscored the critical role of the armed forces, calling the ongoing operations “a battle for justice, freedom, and the future of our children.”

“I stand before you today not just as your President but as a fellow patriot, humbled by your sacrifice and dedication,” he told the troops. “Every terrorist you neutralize, every community you secure, moves Nigeria closer to lasting peace.”

He acknowledged the hardships faced by military personnel, many of whom serve far from home without recognition or comfort. “You face danger not for riches or fame, but out of pure patriotism. That is the highest form of service,” he said.

The President also outlined efforts underway to improve the welfare of military personnel. These include timely payment of allowances, better healthcare, family support systems, insurance, housing schemes, and enhanced logistics and technology.

“Your welfare is my top priority,” Tinubu assured. “We are ensuring that your families are protected, your health is guaranteed, and your dignity is upheld.”

Sending a stern warning to those attempting to undermine national stability, Tinubu said: “To those who seek to destabilize our nation, hear this—Nigeria will not bow. Not to fear. Not to terror. Not to treachery.”

He concluded by reaffirming the government’s dual approach to ending insecurity: unwavering military resolve and comprehensive welfare reforms.
