The Chairman of the NEPAD Business Group Nigeria (NBGN), Bashorun J.K. Randle, has announced plans to relaunch and rebrand the organisation, ushering in a new phase of its commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth and regional integration.
Speaking at a briefing, Randle highlighted the pivotal role of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) in advancing sustainable development across the continent. He stated that the NBGN’s relaunch aims to enhance its impact as a key driver of both national and continental economic progress by fostering stronger public-private partnerships in line with NEPAD’s mission.
As part of its renewed strategy, the group will focus on critical sectors such as trade, investment, and industrial development—areas that are fundamental to economic growth. Collaboration with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and international partners will be a key aspect of its efforts to create a more business-friendly environment.
“The group will engage directly with key policymakers, including the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Ministry of Finance, to align its initiatives with Nigeria’s broader economic objectives. Structured policy recommendations will be presented to drive national economic advancement,” Randle stated.
The rebranding of NBGN signals a strategic move to reinforce its role in shaping policies and fostering economic initiatives that support Nigeria’s long-term development.
