Popular Nigerian comedian, Actor, content creator, and activist Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr. Macaroni, has declared that he has turned down numerous invitations to associate with political figures across all tiers of government.
In a series of strongly worded posts on X (formerly Twitter), Mr. Macaroni reaffirmed his long-standing refusal to fraternize with politicians federal, state, or local stressing that he will never compromise his values for access or favors.
Responding to Comparisons With Tunde Onakoya

Mr. Macaroni’s comments were triggered by ongoing comparisons between him and chess champion Tunde Onakoya, who recently faced backlash for visiting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. While netizens praised Macaroni’s steadfastness, he cautioned against making him the standard for other celebrities.
“I have said this times without number! I am nobody’s hero! I am not a saint!” he wrote. “That I don’t care for politicians doesn’t make me the good guy, and it certainly doesn’t make those that do bad. It’s a matter of preference.”

Mr. Macaroni noted that he has received numerous political invitations ones others would eagerly accept but remains unwavering in his decision to reject them all.
“Invitations choke on different levels!!! Local ooo, State ooo, Federal ooo… The list long!” he said. “Invitations you people are slaving for!!! But I promise, you will continue to cry, weep and gnash your teeth because all will be continuously rejected!!! There shall be no compromise!”
Slams APC Supporters for Twisting Narratives
In the same thread, Mr. Macaroni criticized supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of deliberately twisting his stance to create false narratives.
“APC rascals have always pushed the narrative that I have something against anyone that visits political leaders,” he wrote. “I have never criticized anyone for doing so… Somehow, APC rascals will still want to find a way to drag my name into their misery and misfortune.”
