Minister of Works Dave Umahi has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing reconstruction of the Abuja-Keffi dual carriageway, praising JRB Construction Company Limited for the quality and speed of their work while urging perfection in some areas.
Speaking during an on-the-spot inspection on Monday, Umahi highlighted the company’s professionalism in executing the emergency intervention project, awarded in October 2025, while stressing that 2026 would be an “action year” for the ministry, with no tolerance for negligence or indiscipline.
“I am giving you the end of February to hand over this job. You must come to my office on Wednesday with your timetable and a commitment to complete the project by then,” Umahi directed during his inspection of China Harbour Engineering’s portion of the road.
The Chairman of JRB Group, Jimoh Rauf, commended the Federal Government for empowering indigenous companies to demonstrate professionalism and assured that the project would be completed by March 2026.
The Abuja-Keffi dual carriageway project is a key federal infrastructure intervention, aimed at improving traffic flow and safety between the nation’s capital and Nasarawa State. Umahi’s visit underscores the ministry’s commitment to timely delivery and high standards in federal road projects.
