Lagos, Nigeria – Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has reacted to reports that she was arrested over alleged defamation against fellow actors Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, and Dayo Amusa.
The rumours started after Nigerian influencer and Iyabo Ojo associate, Esabod, posted on Instagram claiming that Lizzy had been arrested and remanded at Alagbon Police Station in Lagos. He wrote:
“Lizzy Anjorin has been arrested by ??? has been remanded in Alagbon police station in Lagos. Lizzy bail condition will be reviewed from Monday for defamation of character.”
The post quickly circulated on social media, causing widespread speculation among fans and Nollywood followers.
In response, Lizzy Anjorin took to Instagram on Sunday evening to dismiss the reports. She wrote:
“Believe Esabod and Iyabo Ojo at your own risk.”
The actress’s statement comes amid ongoing tensions and rivalries within the Nollywood industry, which often attract public attention.
There has been no official confirmation from the Lagos State Police Command regarding her arrest. Lizzy’s direct response appears to challenge the viral claims and clarify her position.
