Lil Nas X Hospitalised After Disturbing Incident in Los Angeles
American rapper and singer Lil Nas X, globally recognised for his chart-topping hit “Old Town Road”, has been hospitalised in Los Angeles following a suspected drug overdose.
The 26-year-old star was seen roaming along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City around 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, dressed only in white underwear and cowboy boots.
According to eyewitnesses and footage shared online, the rapper appeared disoriented — at one point placing a traffic cone on his head, mumbling about attending a party, and confronting bystanders who filmed him.
Police Response and Arrest
Police were alerted after multiple calls from concerned residents.
When officers arrived at the scene, Lil Nas X allegedly charged at them, leading authorities to restrain him. Out of concern for a possible overdose, he was first transported to a hospital for medical evaluation.
Following treatment, the rapper was booked into Valley Jail in Van Nuys on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and obstructing a police officer.
