Lagos orders postmortem after twins’ deaths
The Lagos State Government has ordered a postmortem on nine-month-old identical twins, Testimony and Timothy Alozie, who reportedly died about 24 hours after receiving routine immunisation at a primary health care centre in the state.
The directive comes after thewatch.ng earlier reported that the twins’ father, Samuel Alozie, cried out publicly over the deaths of his nine-month-old infants.
Government confirms investigation
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the incident, which occurred after the children were taken for routine immunisation on December 24, 2025.
The Lagos State Government said the bodies of the twins have been deposited at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital morgue, where a postmortem examination will be conducted.
Findings from the postmortem, the government said, will be made public once concluded.
