Kwam 1 Addresses Alleged Marriage Crisis, Blames Wife Emmanuella for Stirring Speculation
Nigerian Fuji music icon, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has responded to recent reports suggesting turbulence in his marriage to Aderopo Emmanuella.
In a candid interview with veteran journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus, the 68-year-old singer dismissed claims of reconciling with his ex-wife, Fathia Titi Marshall, while insisting that his current marriage remains intact—though not without its internal issues.
“Fathia Is Gone Forever” — Kwam 1 Clears the Air
The controversy began after Sallah festivities, when multiple media outlets claimed that Fathia Titi Marshall had returned to Kwam 1’s life, allegedly prompting Emmanuella to vacate their marital home.
But the Fuji legend insists the story is false.
“Titi Marshall is gone forever,” Kwam 1 stated. “I can’t shut my eyes to the three children we had together, but that chapter is closed.”
Kwam 1: “Emmanuella Brought This Upon Herself”
While denying any separation, Kwam 1 admitted to having issues with Emmanuella’s presence on social media, which he believes contributed to the negative spotlight on their marriage.
“Emmanuella brought this upon herself because I have told her to leave social media and concentrate on her business. But I guess she didn’t like it that way,” he said.
He went on to explain that the problems in their relationship are not unusual, attributing it to the dynamics of rules and personal boundaries in marriage.
No New Wife in Sight, Says the Fuji Star
Despite the rumours and speculation, Kwam 1 made it clear he has no intention of taking another wife.
“I don’t have any plans to take a new wife. Emmanuella is my only wife.”
He added that Emmanuella has a right to react in her own way but urged her to prioritize more meaningful aspects of life, such as family and business.
“She’s not getting younger anymore. She already has two grown-up children in the university and the third one is about to join them. These are things we should focus on not social media.”
