Veteran actor and martial arts icon Jackie Chan has revealed he has no plans to retire, even at the age of 71. In a recent interview with Haute Living, Chan made it clear that he’ll continue performing his own stunts and acting for as long as he can, saying, “That’s not changing until the day I retire which is never!”
Chan, who began his film career at just eight years old, said his longevity in the industry is due to muscle memory and an enduring love for his craft. “It’s who I am,” he explained. Despite the risks, Chan remains committed to his signature stunt work but urged fans not to follow in his footsteps, acknowledging the dangers involved.
The beloved actor is set to return to the big screen in Karate Kid: Legends, scheduled for release on May 30, 2025. In the film, he reprises his role as Mr. Han, alongside Ralph Macchio, who returns as Daniel LaRusso.
