Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, has sparked intense online debate after declaring that men should not shift household responsibility to their wives, even when the women earn significantly more.
The statement, captured in a video shared on X by @ChuksEricE, has since gone viral, drawing sharp reactions from Nigerians divided over money, leadership, and shared responsibility in marriage.
“Provision is not determined by income” — Enenche
In the video, Pastor Enenche argued that leadership in the home is not about income comparison but about responsibility and intentional care.
“If your wife earns ₦1 million and you earn ₦100,000, don’t expect her to use her ₦1 million to take care of the house,” he said.
He added that a man’s willingness to give, regardless of the amount, carries deeper meaning than the size of the contribution.
“Split your ₦100,000 and give it to her. She will value it more than her own ₦1 million,” the cleric stated.

Pastor Enenche explained that contribution, even when small, communicates commitment, effort, and love, qualities he said money alone cannot replace.
