Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has revealed that she has been evicted from her residence by her landlady, leaving her homeless while also seeking urgent funds for surgery.
The actress made the disclosure in a live social media session, appealing to Nigerians for help and describing her current situation as dire.
According to Abubakar, the eviction occurred following a disagreement over rent, which she said she tried to pay using funds raised for her medical treatment. She claimed that the payment was rejected, forcing her out of the apartment.
“I am homeless right now and I need help for my surgery,” the actress said, adding that she has been moving from place to place while trying to manage her health condition.
Abubakar, who has been public about her health challenges in recent months, appealed to colleagues, fans, and well-meaning Nigerians for both financial assistance and accommodation support.
The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing concern and urging support for the actress during what she described as a difficult period in her life.
