Olakunle Churchill, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has officially confirmed that he and his ex-wife have settled their long-running feud, bringing years of public conflict to an end.
Churchill made this known in an emotional Instagram post after Tonto Dikeh earlier announced that they had finally reached peace following years of legal battles, accusations, and online exchanges.
In his post, Churchill revealed that hearing his son, King Andre, call him “daddy” for the first time deeply touched him and marked a turning point in their relationship.
“I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son for the first time, and hearing him say ‘Daddy’ melted my heart. It was a moment I will never forget,” Churchill wrote.
He went on to describe the reconciliation as a product of faith, humility and forgiveness, stating that the painful chapter between him and Tonto had finally closed.
“What God cannot do does not exist. Faith has a way of bringing clarity, humility and peace. I acknowledge the growth and grace evident in the manner in which this matter has been resolved,” he added.
Churchill further noted that forgiveness had paved the way for a new beginning, stressing that both parents are now focused on raising their son in love and mutual respect.
“Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter. The conflict is behind us, and we are now focused on co-parenting with love, care and mutual respect. I am grateful to God for healing and for this new beginning,” he wrote.
Tonto Dikeh had earlier announced the settlement in a heartfelt post, revealing that after nearly a decade of bitterness, insults, and legal disputes, peace had finally returned. She described the moment as one of healing and maturity, stating that she and Churchill have chosen respect and co-parenting over conflict.
The former couple, whose marriage ended in a highly publicised and controversial divorce in 2017, have been locked in several disputes ranging from child custody to domestic allegations, all of which played out publicly for years.
With both parties now confirming the reconciliation, fans and observers say the development marks the official end of one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity feuds.
