Halle Bailey Alleges Repeated Abuse by DDG
Singer and actress Halle Bailey has been granted a temporary restraining order against rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) following disturbing allegations of repeated physical, emotional, and verbal abuse.
In court filings, Bailey claims DDG physically assaulted her on multiple occasions, including a January 2025 incident where he allegedly pulled her hair and banged her face into a steering wheel during a custody exchange. The alleged attack left her with a chipped tooth, supported by photographic evidence submitted to the court.
Protection for Bailey and Their Son
The Los Angeles court order, issued on May 13, 2025, bars DDG from coming within 100 yards of Bailey and their 17-month-old son, Halo. It also prohibits him from owning or possessing firearms.
Bailey has requested full custody of their son while she is on a work trip to Italy, as well as a court-ordered ban preventing DDG from speaking about her publicly or online.
Additional Allegations and Next Steps
In her petition, Bailey described another disturbing incident in March where DDG allegedly broke into her home and sent her a photo from her own bedroom. She has asked the court to mandate that DDG complete a 52-week Batterer Intervention Program.
A formal court hearing is scheduled for June 4 to determine whether the restraining order will be extended or made permanent.
DDG’s Silence Amid Legal Turmoil
As of now, DDG has not publicly responded to the latest allegations. However, in March, he aired frustrations on social media about his limited access to their child, suggesting he might seek legal avenues to gain visitation rights.
The case has sparked wide public conversation about domestic violence and the complexities of co-parenting under public scrutiny.
