FIFA has announced the prize money structure for the expanded 2025 Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13. The tournament, featuring 32 teams, will have a total prize pool of $1 billion—the largest in Club World Cup history.
Prize Money Breakdown
Total Prize Pool: $1 billion
Participation Fees: $525 million to be shared among all participating teams
Performance-Based Rewards: $475 million to be distributed based on tournament progress
Potential Earnings for Clubs
Group Stage:
Teams will earn $2 million per win and $1 million per draw
Tournament Winner:
The champions could earn up to $125 million, including bonuses and match earnings
Regional Prize Allocation
European Clubs: Between $12.81 million and $38.19 million, based on sporting and commercial factors
South American Clubs: $15.21 million per team
North & Central America, Caribbean, Asia, and Africa: $9.55 million per team
Oceania Representative (Auckland City): $3.58 million
FIFA’s Solidarity Program
In addition to the prize money, FIFA has allocated $250 million for a global solidarity fund to support non-participating clubs. FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized that all tournament revenues will be redistributed to clubs worldwide, ensuring that football development remains a priority.
