Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his Kaduna residence on Friday.
This meeting occurred shortly after visits from President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande.
After leaving office on May 29, 2023, Buhari initially returned to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State but relocated permanently to Kaduna in February 2025. The meeting between El-Rufai and Buhari was revealed by @IU_Wakili, a dedicated supporter of the former governor, who shared on social media:
“Mallam Nasir El-Rufai paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his home in Kaduna today.
Patiently waiting for somebody to call PMB irrelevant.
The outcome of this meeting will decide if we are playing polo or not.”
