Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has carried out a minor reshuffle of his Executive Council, redeploying his Chief of Staff, Hon. Gani Audu, to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources as Commissioner.
The Governor said Audu’s appointment as Commissioner would be subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Umar Musa Ikhilor, disclosed the changes in a statement released to newsmen on Friday.
As part of the reshuffle, Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, former Commissioner for Lands and Housing, was appointed as the new Chief of Staff, while Barrister Vincent Osas Uwadiae, Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, was redeployed to the Ministry of Lands and Housing.
Governor Okpebholo explained that the minor adjustments are aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery, and enhancing efficiency across the state administration. He expressed confidence that the reshuffle would improve coordination, policy implementation, and overall governance in Edo State.
