Dremo reveals why he left DMW, cites focus on Davido

Rapper Dremo has explained his exit from Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), stating that the label’s management prioritised its founder, Davido, over other artists.

Speaking during a recent interview with Echo Room, the rapper said the imbalance limited collaboration and growth within the label, as artistes were largely focused on sustaining their individual careers.

Dremo noted that he never collaborated with fellow label mate Idowest, adding that DMW lacked unity and did not produce a collective project such as a label album.

He further disclosed that the label did not meet his financial expectations, describing it as more of a platform than a structure that provided adequate support.

According to him, the experience influenced his decision to remain independent, allowing him greater control over his music and career direction.
