Davido rejects alleged daughter’s DNA test appeal, insists five tests returned negative

Davido dismisses renewed DNA appeal

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly rejected a renewed request for a DNA test from a 12-year-old girl claiming to be his daughter, insisting the matter has already been settled through multiple medical tests.

The singer stated that five separate DNA tests, conducted at different hospitals, all returned negative results, and maintained that he is not the child’s father.

Child makes public appeal on Instagram

The girl, Mitchelle Anuoluwapo, took to Instagram on Thursday to request a DNA test from Davido, describing herself as his “oldest daughter” and detailing the emotional impact of the disputed paternity.

In a lengthy post, she said she had faced bullying since the age of six over claims that Davido is her father and described the experience as emotionally distressing.

Claims of emotional distress and identity concerns

Mitchelle said she had struggled with mental health challenges and sought professional help as a result of the controversy. She explained that her appeal was driven by a desire to establish her identity as she enters her teenage years.

She formally asked the singer to agree to a DNA test, stating that the request was personal and important to her future.

Davido responds, cites multiple negative tests

Davido responded directly in the comment section of the Instagram post, stating that he had already taken five DNA tests, all of which were negative.

“I am not your father,” he wrote, adding that he had never met the girl’s mother outside the DNA test process and describing the claims as false.

Singer expresses frustration on X

The singer also addressed the issue in a series of posts on X, formerly Twitter, reiterating that the tests were conducted at five different hospitals, including facilities chosen by both parties.

He said he would no longer address the matter publicly and suggested that the girl’s mother should be held accountable for continuing the claims.

Davido maintained that this would be the final time he comments on the issue, insisting the paternity dispute had been conclusively resolved.
