Davido Mocks Ex-Osun Speaker Owoeye Over Viral Naked Ritual Video Amid APC-PDP Tensions

Davido Mocks Ex-Osun Speaker Over APC Remark

Afrobeats singer Davido has publicly mocked the former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, over a controversial statement made regarding the Adeleke family’s alleged ties to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleke’s Visit to Tinubu Fuels Political Speculation

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Tuesday, accompanied by his elder brother, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, and Davido. The meeting comes amid a political standoff in Osun, where local government allocations have reportedly been withheld since February 2025 due to a crisis between the APC and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The high-profile visit sparked rumors of a possible defection deal between the governor and President Tinubu, raising eyebrows across the state’s political spectrum.

Owoeye: “Adeleke Family Not Welcome in APC”

In a swift reaction on Wednesday, Hon. Timothy Owoeye dismissed any claims of a defection, stating in a press conference in Osogbo:

“Adeleke family is not welcome in the APC. There is no space for PDP and Adeleke in APC.”

His comment was seen by many as a direct jab at the governor’s family and political affiliations.

Davido Responds: “No Be This Guy Naked for Bush?”

Davido, who was part of the presidential visit, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to fire back at Owoeye’s remarks. In a post that quickly went viral, the singer wrote:

“No be this guy naked for bush?”

His comment referred to a 2018 viral incident where Owoeye was allegedly caught on camera performing ritual activities naked in the middle of the night, a scandal that stirred public uproar at the time.
