A Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos has acquitted popular singer Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, in connection with the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad.
In her ruling, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer. The court also discharged music promoter Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.
However, the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) has directed the prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who treated Mohbad shortly before his death.
Additionally, Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, will face charges for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Both Ogedengbe and Sadiq will be prosecuted at the magistrate court.
