Popular Nigerian singer and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has criticized the newly formed opposition coalition aiming to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
In a post shared via his official Facebook page on Thursday night, Charly Boy accused the political heavyweights behind the coalition of pursuing selfish interests under the guise of national redemption.
“Coalitions are forming, but let’s not pretend that every alliance is progress. Sometimes, it’s just old wolves in new agbada,” he wrote.
