President Bola Tinubu has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill of ₦54.99 trillion into law.
The signing took place on Friday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in the presence of National Assembly leaders and senior government officials.
The budget was initially ₦49.7 trillion when submitted by President Tinubu but was increased by lawmakers before its passage on February 13, 2025. It represents a 99.96% increase from the 2024 budget of ₦27.5 trillion.

The 2025 budget signals significant fiscal expansion, with higher allocations for capital projects and debt servicing to drive economic growth and infrastructure development.
