The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has officially handed over a confiscated estate of 750 luxury duplexes to the Minister of Housing today.
The handover marks a major step in the federal government’s asset recovery efforts, as it seeks to convert ill-gotten wealth into public value.
Homes to Be Sold to Interested Nigerian Buyers
According to sources, the luxurious homes originally acquired through corrupt means will soon be listed for sale to eligible Nigerians. The move is part of a wider strategy by the Tinubu administration to recoup stolen public funds and inject them into the economy through affordable housing access.
The Minister of Housing praised the EFCC’s efforts and promised transparency in the sales process.
