CP Abdulmajid Disburses N18.38 Million to Bereaved Families
The Commissioner of Police in Borno State, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, has disbursed a total of N18,384,135.84 to families of police officers who died in the line of duty, as part of the Nigeria Police Force Group Life Assurance Scheme.
According to a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Command, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the funds were shared among nine beneficiaries, including next-of-kin and family members of deceased officers.
The statement described the fallen officers as having “paid the supreme price while serving the nation with courage, dedication, and professionalism.”
Cheque Presentation Ceremony Highlights
During the cheque presentation ceremony, held on behalf of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, CP Abdulmajid emphasized that the welfare of officers and their families remains a top priority of the Force.

He urged beneficiaries to use the funds prudently, suggesting they be directed toward education, healthcare, and general wellbeing of their families.
“Such initiatives provide critical financial relief and long-term stability to the families of fallen heroes,” he added, commending the IGP for sustaining the scheme.

The Group Life Assurance Scheme is designed to support families of officers who die while performing their duties, offering financial security and welfare benefits to the next-of-kin. This initiative reflects the Force’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of officers and promoting morale among serving personnel.
