Ayra Starr Eyes Burna Boy Collaboration Following Grammy Nod
Rising Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, a two-time Grammy nominee, has identified Burna Boy as her top choice for collaboration. She made the revelation during a Billboard interview with Love Island USA star Chelley Bissainthe on Thursday.
“Everybody knows Burna Boy is like my number one person I want to collaborate with,” Ayra Starr said. She added that, while she has worked with several artists, she remains open to future collaborations.
Ayra Starr received a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance for Gimme Dat, her collaboration with Wizkid, released on April 25, 2025. The nominations were announced in November 2025 ahead of the Grammy Awards ceremony scheduled for February 1, 2026.
Reacting to the nomination, she described it as a reassurance of her growing impact in the music industry.
