Atiku’s son backs Tinubu, declares him unbeatable in 2027

Atiku’s son reaffirms support for Tinubu

Atiku’s son, Abba, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring that no political party can defeat him in the 2027 presidential election.

The statement came in Yola on Monday, where Abba, who joined the APC last week, received his membership card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

Praises for Tinubu’s leadership

Abba said he joined the APC to contribute to what he described as “the best economic and human reforms” under President Tinubu.

“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027. Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist, he don’t make appointments based on religion or region, but his decisions are purely on merit,” Atiku’s son said.

He added that he was motivated by the president’s focus on infrastructural and human development, urging Nigerians to support Tinubu beyond party affiliations.

APC leaders welcome support

The APC Zonal Vice Chairman, Adamawa Central, Alhaji Isa Bagalti, said Abba’s move strengthens the party’s position ahead of 2027.

“It is now clear to people that there is no party in Nigeria or presidential candidate that can face our president at the poll come 2027,” Bagalti said.

Alhaji Jamil Yusuf, a senior APC chieftain in Adamawa, described other aspirants as “wishful thinkers” lacking the credentials to challenge Tinubu.

“Majority of those saying that they are going to contest for the office of president see politics as a trade fair venue, where people sell and buy. I advise such people to invest their money in profitable ventures, because the office of the president is no longer for the highest bidder, but for competent people like President Tinubu,” Yusuf added.

Political context

Atiku’s son’s stance contrasts with his brother, Adamu Atiku, who is a top PDP member and Commissioner for Works and Energy Development under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

Their father, Atiku Abubakar, is pursuing the presidency under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), without any of his sons currently aligned with him politically.
