Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has weighed in on the ongoing controversy between music star Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje.
Last week, social media was set abuzz after an audio recording surfaced in which Sophia alleged that Burna Boy had slept with her but failed to fulfill his promise of gifting her a Lamborghini.
Addressing the issue in a lengthy Instagram post, Angela Okorie clarified that while she does not endorse prostitution, she believes Burna Boy took advantage of the situation, fully aware that Sophia had named her terms.
The actress expressed concern over the apparent lack of empathy in society, emphasizing that public figures should serve as positive influences. She criticized Burna Boy’s alleged actions, stating that only a coward with low self-esteem would deceive a woman into sleeping with him and then mock her online.
Okorie urged the public to treat others with respect and kindness, especially in these challenging times.
